The Matton-Farnets have been in the wine industry for almost three centuries, beginning at the Domaine de Chateauneuf in Vidauban, and continuing at Che2teau Minuty from 1936 where Gabriel Farnet, the grandfather of Frane7ois and Jean-Etienne, the current owners, set up. Gabriel Farnet replanted the entire wine estate and returned Che2teau Minuty to its former glory. It was built under Napoleon III, as was the small chapel that the cuvee de l'Oratoire takes its name from and which was the estate's flagship bottle for a long time. The most prestigious hotels on the Cf4te d'Azur still have its fat Burgundian-shaped bottles. In 1955 Che2teau Minuty was one of 23 estates to be consecrated as a classed growth of the Cf4tes de Provence.Today Jean-Etienne and Frane7ois Matton have taken over and continue to improve Minuty. They have put their stamp on it by restructuring the vineyards and replacing the Carignan and Ugni Blanc with Grenache and Rolle, and by streamlining the winery with modern, up to date efficient equipment. By giving Minuty a more international direction, ensuring listings at the best tables around the world and by developing the wine tasting facilities, Jean-Etienne and Frane7ois Matton strive on a daily basis to increase Minuty's reputation. A big project to renovate the cellar has been undertaken.

Harvested from vineyards across Napa Valley, this bold Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of warmer climate hillside vineyard fruit and valley floor fruit creating a wine that celebrates the region's diversity and complexity. A deep dark purple in the glass, this wine opens with a bouquet of boysenberry, bourbon and toasted vanilla aromas with a waft of caramel. Full-bodied with a plush entry, layers of brown sugar, cocoa, mulling spices and currants fill the mouth and are complemented by rich, round tannins. The finish is long and smooth.
1881 Napa was created in one of the Napa Valley's oldest historical Victorian homes with a mission to celebrate the origins of America's premier winemaking region and the pioneers that founded it. The history of 1881 Napa is tied inextricably to that of its neighbor, the Oakville Grocery. At the gateway to the Napa Valley stands a landmark historical Victorian home and the oldest continuously operating grocery store in California, founded in 1881. This beloved general store served the visionary pioneers who first planted grapes in the valley. The adjacent founder's home at the junction of Oakville today honors the rich history, legacy and heritage of this world-famous wine region. Known as 1881 Napa, it presents the appellations of Napa Valley to provide a comprehensive discovery of its diversity, abundance, world-renowned terroir and deep history.
Batch 55 embodies an opulent vintage, which saw its fruit grow amid lush rainfall and balmy temperatures. Nuanced aromas of sun-baked raspberry, crushed blueberry, freshly-turned earth and hints of nutmeg swirl in the glass, segueing to a palate of jammy blackberries, clove and caramel. This blend showcases Zinfandel's warm, luscious character, accentuated by time spent in our charred bourbon barrels, which lent a graceful, smoky finish to the wine.
The wine has a deep, rich purple color. An intense raspberry fruit is on the nose, with black pepper spice and a touch of cloves and dried herbs. The palate is full with ripe tannins, big black and red fruits, followed by an array of spices.
