This non-peated single malt whisky is made in America with domestic 2-row malted barley. Shaved, toasted and re-charred (STR) casks balance the malt and wood influences. It is double distilled in all-copper pot stills and non-chill filtered to preserve its complexity. | A well balanced bourbon with delicate body. Notes of vanilla and caramel are complimented by a touch of white oak tannins. This is further mingled with dried fruit to deliver a richly smooth flavor. | A distinct batch of barrels were hand-selected especially for this commemorative release. These barrels aged for 10 years at Barton 1792 Distillery before being bottled at specifically 92.15 proof. This special proof is a nod to the year 1792 and to Kentucky being the 15th state to join the Union. The dark blue neckband on the bottle and back label are a salute to the official state seal. This is the sixth limited edition release of 1792 Bourbon expressions, the 225th Anniversary Bourbon joins previous releases of High Rye, Sweet Wheat, Port Finish, Single Barrel, and Full Proof Bourbons. 1792 225th Anniversary Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Tasting NotesNose:?Caramel, fruit, and vanilla cream greet you out of the glass. The fruit is reminiscent of cherry or strawberry. There's also a nice angel food cake note underneath. Palate:?First thing I get is a little caramel, brown sugar, and oak, followed by a warm, juicy red fruit similar to what I found in the 1792 Sweet Wheat but more pronounced. There is a nice burn on the tail end that carries the notes of fruit and cream into the finish. Finish:?Sweet, fruity, and oaky with a bit of caramel. The finish is medium in length and the whiskey leaves a nice ?full? feeling coating the mouth. There is a little vanilla and a nice spice to finish it off. | Nose Pleasant and immediately approachable, greeted with the familiar flavors from American oak cask, stewed stone fruits, vanilla custard, coconut cream, but also uniquely 10th Street, modeling clay, sea air, salinity, cocoa puffs, red pu ehr tea, the first rain on dry concrete. Color: Lightly oaked Chardonnay Palate Easy to drink, panacotta, light campfire embers, dandelions, and heathered honey. Finish Leaves you wanting more with glazed donuts, lime altoid sours, and lingering silky mouthfeel. | The stars dance in the sky above the fields for as many as ten years before the organic agaves are harvested for 123 Organic Blanco (Uno) tequila, the pure mother spirit from which Reposado (Dos) and Anejo (Tres) tequilas are created. As they reach the peak of maturity under the watchful gaze of the guardian snake (coatl), the agaves are hand-harvested and the hearts are slowly cooked in stone ovens for almost two days before being pressed to release their sugary juice. After a natural fermentation and precise small-batch distillation, Blanco tequila is born. Marked by an earthy, citrus and herbal character, Blanco (Uno) is tequila in its most natural state and ideal as the basis for organic cocktails and sipping. Both the quality and purity of our Blanco (Uno) tequila are essential to achieving the complex evolution that takes place in its aged versions ? Reposado (Dos) and Anejo (Tres) tequilas. |
