Propiedad de Arednzano is located in a valley formed by Pyrenees last foothills. Like in all great winemaking areas, Ega River cuts across the property beautifully, providing not only irrigation but also regulating temperature during summer, creating a unique microclimate.128 hectares of Arednzano vineyards, with a majority of Tempranillo and Chardonnay varieties, are located in an area of complex geology with different soil features. This scenario is a winemaker's dream, as it provides different variables to play with in order to produce complex and high-quality wines. This unique microclimate provides perfect conditions for wine growing. 128 hectares, out of 355 hectares in the property, are dedicated to Pago wines production.Soils at the property have a tertiary age origin with variable proportions of slimes, marl, clay and degradation of limestone-calcareous rock. The soil has little depth above the bedrock (maximum 30 to 40cm), forcing our grapevines to extend their roots in search of water and nutrients, which produces a little bit smaller grape with an excellent concentration and quality.A natural vegetal cover and an excellent drainage system prevents the soil from being washed away during the rainy season.
Harvested from vineyards across Napa Valley, this bold Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of warmer climate hillside vineyard fruit and valley floor fruit creating a wine that celebrates the region's diversity and complexity. A deep dark purple in the glass, this wine opens with a bouquet of boysenberry, bourbon and toasted vanilla aromas with a waft of caramel. Full-bodied with a plush entry, layers of brown sugar, cocoa, mulling spices and currants fill the mouth and are complemented by rich, round tannins. The finish is long and smooth.
1881 Napa was created in one of the Napa Valley's oldest historical Victorian homes with a mission to celebrate the origins of America's premier winemaking region and the pioneers that founded it. The history of 1881 Napa is tied inextricably to that of its neighbor, the Oakville Grocery. At the gateway to the Napa Valley stands a landmark historical Victorian home and the oldest continuously operating grocery store in California, founded in 1881. This beloved general store served the visionary pioneers who first planted grapes in the valley. The adjacent founder's home at the junction of Oakville today honors the rich history, legacy and heritage of this world-famous wine region. Known as 1881 Napa, it presents the appellations of Napa Valley to provide a comprehensive discovery of its diversity, abundance, world-renowned terroir and deep history.

Long before the climate of the Carneros American Viticultural Area (AVA) was recognized as ideal for growing Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, Acacia's pioneering founders were convinced of it. Their goal when they launched Acacia was to achieve a certain balance in Pinot Noir that, at the time, existed only in French wines. They wanted to make a single-vineyard California Pinot Noir that was both complex and delicate-a wine that heightened the enjoyment of food, making everything a little more delicious.Today, that quality is what draws aficionados and novices alike to Acacia wines. It's what has helped put Carneros on the map. And it's what continues to inspire winemaking at Acacia after more than 30 years, from the ferocious belief in the possibility of this place to the artistry of capturing its essence in a glass.
