A few years back we set out to create a handful of classic spirits that could stand alone on their own merits. We sought rich flavors that capture the classic profiles of these spirits from their earliest days. Backbone Bourbon Prime is a throwback to the original Backbone Uncut. This is a blended bourbon of both 6 and 2 year bourbons blended with some young rye and some 8 year old corn whiskey. It is proofed down to 104 which still allows it to stand out in a cocktail. It's also strong and complex enough to enjoy neat or with a little water.
A well balanced bourbon with delicate body. Notes of vanilla and caramel are complimented by a touch of white oak tannins. This is further mingled with dried fruit to deliver a richly smooth flavor.
Our American is a pre-prohibition style, short-aged, under 1 year, in American white oak barrels used previously for our 291 Colorado Bourbon. Floral with a buttery mouthfeel, while the copper provides a fresh cut leather finish.
?291 Colorado Whiskey's summer sipping whiskey? great in a cocktail, served neat or over ice.
?90 proof / 45% ABV
15 Stars Kentucky Straight Bourbon finished in French Cognac casks
The new Double Eagle Very Rare Bourbon, according to those behind it, is matured twice as long as the standard Eagle Rare 10-year-old bourbon. It is all about the presentation with this one in addition to the age though, with the Double Eagle crystal decanter featuring ?two beautifully sculptured crystal glass eagles, one inside the bottle, and one serving as the stopper.
Nose:?Hints of vanilla, toasted oak and caramel.
Palate:?A gracefully aged oaky flavor.
This non-peated single malt whisky is made in America with domestic 2-row malted barley. Shaved, toasted and re-charred (STR) casks balance the malt and wood influences. It is double distilled in all-copper pot stills and non-chill filtered to preserve its complexity.
