Description

The oldest and most traditional mountain moonshine recipe is known as “apple pie.” It’s a tradition that we’re proud to carry on inside every mason jar.

From the moonshiners, to the bootleggers, to the hush of the speakeasies, the story of American moonshine whiskey is the story of the indomitable rebel spirit of America. It’s the story of people who asked only one thing from their government ? to be left alone so they could ensure the survival of their families by any means possible ? and in doing so demonstrated all the best in American ingenuity and patriotism.

Today, a little bootlegger lives on in everyone. A code of living thrown in the face of anyone who dared to stop it. And a spirit that, in today’s spirits, hasn?t been seen since. One that is American born in every way. We are honored to carry the banner for this incredible spirit in our American Born Moonshine. Every ounce handcrafted from timeless recipes. Every American-made mason jar raised to honor the fiercely independent spirit of America and filled with just the right blend of corn, sugar and water along with roots that trace all the way back to the hills of Appalachia. Three distinct flavors ? Original, Apple Pie and Dixie ? all made to pay homage to the past and to continue telling the story of the smooth side of a rough history.

At 50% ABV, this is the ?export strength? expression of our multi-award-winning, strikingly smooth London Dry. A giant of a gin! Exquisitely engineered for a more complex flavour profile, we?ve added extra juniper and introduced six new botanicals ? green cardamom, nutmeg, cumin, cassia bark, cubeb pepper and lemon ? for a bolder, richer flavour; an earthy sweetness combines with citrus freshness for a dry spicy finish.

Description

Harvested from vineyards across Napa Valley, this bold Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of warmer climate hillside vineyard fruit and valley floor fruit creating a wine that celebrates the region's diversity and complexity. A deep dark purple in the glass, this wine opens with a bouquet of boysenberry, bourbon and toasted vanilla aromas with a waft of caramel. Full-bodied with a plush entry, layers of brown sugar, cocoa, mulling spices and currants fill the mouth and are complemented by rich, round tannins. The finish is long and smooth.

Producer Description

1881 Napa was created in one of the Napa Valley's oldest historical Victorian homes with a mission to celebrate the origins of America's premier winemaking region and the pioneers that founded it. The history of 1881 Napa is tied inextricably to that of its neighbor, the Oakville Grocery. At the gateway to the Napa Valley stands a landmark historical Victorian home and the oldest continuously operating grocery store in California, founded in 1881. This beloved general store served the visionary pioneers who first planted grapes in the valley. The adjacent founder's home at the junction of Oakville today honors the rich history, legacy and heritage of this world-famous wine region. Known as 1881 Napa, it presents the appellations of Napa Valley to provide a comprehensive discovery of its diversity, abundance, world-renowned terroir and deep history.
