Description

Fruity, rich, smokey, pleasantly sweet.? In our tasting we found a full agave nose with a slight sweetness and light smoke notes. It was smooth on the tongue and displayed an even alcohol note. The palate reveals even more smoke which is the dominant impression left after a swallow.

Fermented in oak vats & distilled by Don Joel Cruz from non-irrigated agave Espad?n grown in sunny mountaintop plantings in ferriferous soil at 4600 feet. Fruity, rich, smokey, pleasantly sweet.

Alipus was started by Los Danzantes to provide a market for family artisan distilleries. There are still hundreds of small mezcal distilleries in Oaxaca, and a number of them make fabulous product. Hector Vasquez and later Karina Abad Rojas have worked closely with selected small producers, both to improve their distillation methods and to help them with the complex paperwork required to certify their mezcals for export.

The intent was to provide small distilleries with a wider market so that they could stay in business, and it has worked: Alipus producers have been able to add stills and ? this is wonderful ? to bring their children back from the USA because there is now enough work for them ? as distillers! ? at home.

Alipus is now Mexico’s #1 artisan mezcal. Craft Distillers started importing the Alipus mezcals in 2012. Both Los Danzantes and Craft Distillers take lower than normal markups so that these distillers can be better paid and so that all of us can enjoy it for years to come.

Description

winemaker Bob Blue selected fruit from MendocinoCounty and Santa Clara Valley, a very old California appellation south of SanFrancisco Bay. The resulting wine is a perfect example of classic typicity, showing cherry fruit and blackcurrant with a touch of tobacco leaf. Ripe flavors ofZinfandel and Syrah were meticulously chosen and layered over this Cabernet, gifting midpalate, spice and rich color. This Cabernet was aged in new and used bourbon barrels, imparting complexity, depth and characteristics of charred vanilla, dried herbs and a hint of caramel. These wonderful flavor notes are specific to the bourbon barrel aging process. In true 1000 Stories form, this wine closes on a delightfully smooth andmemorable finish.

Producer Description

The mighty buffalo is an iconic symbol of American heritage, a heritage woven with one thousand stories, unique traditions, and a pioneering spirit. Our country's history of hard work and tenacity lives on today in each of us and continues to be at the essence of America's character. This is the inspiration for 1,000 Stories, a unique wine aged in bourbon barrels-a reflection of our winemakers' pioneering spirits. It's not a quick process, but crafting by hand to meet exacting standards seldom is.

Strikingly smooth to taste and beautiful to behold in its iconic Bristol-blue glass bottle, our original, multi-award-winning 6 O?clock Gin was born in 2010, perfected from an old family gin recipe. It has a soft and citrusy flavour, led by juniper, carefully balanced with coriander seed, angelica root, orris root, winter savory, elderflower and orange peel, all lovingly distilled for a deeply-delicious taste experience.

Description

The wine expands across the palate in rich, silky layers with flavors of cre8me caramel, green apple, and lemon oil. The beautiful balance the wine achieves through the harmonious blend of acidity and creamy complexity leads to a natural, lingering finish graced by fresh citrus and toasted almond notes.

Producer Description

Long before the climate of the Carneros American Viticultural Area (AVA) was recognized as ideal for growing Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, Acacia's pioneering founders were convinced of it. Their goal when they launched Acacia was to achieve a certain balance in Pinot Noir that, at the time, existed only in French wines. They wanted to make a single-vineyard California Pinot Noir that was both complex and delicate-a wine that heightened the enjoyment of food, making everything a little more delicious.Today, that quality is what draws aficionados and novices alike to Acacia wines. It's what has helped put Carneros on the map. And it's what continues to inspire winemaking at Acacia after more than 30 years, from the ferocious belief in the possibility of this place to the artistry of capturing its essence in a glass.

Generous quantities of hand-picked hedgerow sloes, combined with just the right amount of sugar, are added to our strikingly smooth London Dry. We then leave it all to soak slowly for at least six months. The high 'sloe to gin? ratio combined with this lengthy maturation process achieves a smooth, intensely rich and fruity flavour that retains some of that just-picked tartness.
A crystal-clear a?ejo tequila with deceptive depth, presented in a stunning crystalline bottle. Since releasing the first a?ejo tequila on the market in 1800 A?ejo, 1800 continues to drive innovation with this beautiful contradiction of a spirit. 1800 Cristalino is aged in both American and French oak barrels for 16 months, after which the liquid is married together and finished in Port Wine casks for an additional 6 months. It is then meticulously filtered via a unique process that adds smoothness without sacrificing taste. The result is a spirit with all the complexity of an a?ejo tequila, and the silky smooth drinkability of a silver.

Voluptuous taste profile but soft and sweet, with notes of caramel, honey and vanilla. Medium wooden notes typical of Porto wood, with cooked agave notes remaining throughout the entire stay in the mouth.
